Proprietary programs
Innate Pharma works on an emerging approach to fight cancer and inflammatory diseases: monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) specifically modulating the activity of certain lymphocytes to facilitate or slow down their activation.
The first mAb using this new approach in cancer, ipilimumab (Yervoy®, an anti-CTLA-4 mAb from Bristol-Myers Squibb), was approved in 2011. Pioneer of this approach, Innate Pharma is also a leader in the specific field of innate immunity. It has two clinical programs out-licensed, IPH21 and IPH22, and a third, proprietary program, in preclinical development: IPH33.
Furthermore, the expertise developed by Innate Pharma in the science of the innate immunity cells receptors has led to the understanding of the biology of some of their ligands. These ligands can be directly targeted with “classical” cytotoxic antibodies such as IPH41, a proprietary program.
